Ive been to Dublin a couple of times. My advice would be to take lots of spending money........Its really not cheap.
As above distillery and the storehouse are good. Theres the Potato famine statues. Kilmainham Jail and is only £5 to get in. For pubs as always you have to visit temple bar (it is expensive but a great experience) There is a pub called the bleedin horse which is just outside the main town centre, great atmosphere and shows sport etc.

Dublin also has a Zoo, great if you have good weather.
