Whats to do, will we ski???

Flying on Jan 6th to Pamporovo for our first ever ski-ing holiday with my husband and 10 year old daughter. Check webcam daily and the snow is disappearing. Are we likely to be able to ski in the resort, if not whats to do.

re: Whats to do, will we ski???

there isnt really alot to do in the resort as its one of the smaller ones but it is developing bit by bit theres the usaul a few shops and bars etc.. but like most of the bulgarian resorts they are e.g borovets & banskothay are very small compared to other contries.
i know what you mean about the webcam there is very little snow only 1 or 2cm's at most, in some places however there is about 10 - 15 cm's on its way so you may still get away with skiing on the white stuff here's hoping ...

there is enough snow at the top and you will be able to do the stop section of the green run. the nursery slope is out of action but if you get some snow which you probably will i will become open. there isn't no place like pamporovo to learn. i went on the 7th of jan last year. the green runs are packed the blue red and black runs are derserted. there shouldn't be a long wait for lifts if the snow comes.

apart from skiing there isn't much to do in pamporovo but don't worry you wil lbe able to ski especially the top section and that will take a begginer half an hour that is also very easy so you'll b alright.

Hi
We returned from Pamps on Sat 30th. The instructors are hoping for snow on 7th and 8th Jan. We had a great time as we didnt need a great deal of snow as we were beginners and were down at base for first two days, then on third day went up in chairlift to nursery slope and did the green run three times - really loved it. The instructors are so patient. We did bumboarding one evening with the reps/there was also a quiz night in the Perelik. Some people in our hotel hired a minibus and ...

Some people in our hotel hired a minibus and went to Plovdiv shopping for the day - very cheap. The spas in the hotel are very reasonable with plenty of treatments and the Perelik has bowling and swimming. Hope you have a great hol
