Really missing skiing even though we've been twice this year already. But guess what - just had a week free up in April so we are now thinking of going to Livingo Italy on 16th April for a week
Anyone been there before?
Be interested to know what you thought of it.
Went years ago and had a good time. The range is spread out over two sides of a valley where the town is.
It was (and I assume still is) a little duty free zone of it's own and the the town is run by a bunch of dodgy geezers from z couple of families. That won't affect you and skiing however.
Sounds like a good plan for some extra fun in the snow.
When it comes to skiing more is never enough. I always get the ski blues when I return from a trip, the only way to get over it seems to be to plan the next one!
I've been to Livigno twice, at new year 2009 and christmas 2010, and loved it both times. Skiing on both sides of the mountain means you can follow the sun, ski Carossello side in the morning, Mottolino side in the afternoon. The free bus service is also good to get around.
Pete, just back from there, 4th visit.
Loads of snow, brand new gondola opened 19 Feb, Costaccia gondola nows goes right up to the restaurant, no more queueing at the rickety old 2 man lift.
You can follow the sun around the resort, in the morning ski Carasello/Costaccia then move to the Mottolino in the afternoon.
Plenty of apres ski, lots of restaurants, what more do you want?
Also as the resort is duty free it is considerably cheaper than the rest of the Alps, pint of beer about €3 to ...

I would be back like a shot if I could afford it!
aNY OTHER QUESTIONS JUST ASK AWAY.
Fortunately that area of Italy has had recent snow (unlike the Alpine areas), go for it Pete, you can't take your money with you
As for never getting enough, come and live here, you ski less than when you visited on holiday, but you pick your days, like yesterday, bluebird day, new snow...... classic
