I went skiing for the first time, earlier this year in Villars - only for 2 days as it was a work jolly - but it told me i liked it. I am now heading to Pamps , and also plan a trip to the USA in March.
At what point is it worth me buying my own boots? Do I wait till after Pamps so I know what standard I may get to, buy in Pamps, or buy before I go?
My opinion is that there is nothing like having your own boots, but saying that I would wait till after pamps if its you first real weeks skiing, depends on what your up to on the slopes. You might decide that boardings what you want to do after a weeks skiing. I didn't change boots (stuck with the same brand/style) through my different skiing levels as a rec skier, different boots for racing but thats like using a f1 car to go to tescos.

I would tend to agree, although on my second ski trip the guy in the hire shop made me some custom foot beds which I used in my hire boots and then subsequently transfered to my own boots when I bought them. They give you a nice even pressure througout the boot and will make all the difference to your skiiing experience,
I bought mine second time out have a bit of a thing about wearing other peoples shoes. feet are quiet awful and some smell realy bad, plus the sooner you buy the more use you get out of them.
