What is going on in Pamps? We go this year in Feb for the 25 year running. It is like a pilgrimage for ourselves as we have met some lovely people over the years. But i fear for the resorts future as last year the prices were outrageous and the whole resort including the Ski instructors had become quite mercinary. So why are we returning? Well as i said for 25 years we enjoyed Pamps and the Bulgarian hospitilty and this i fear may be our farewell trip. We have always been quite fortunate ...
What is going on in Pamps? We go this year in Feb for the 25 year running. It is like a pilgrimage for ourselves as we have met some lovely people over the years. But i fear for the resorts future as last year the prices were outrageous and the whole resort including the Ski instructors had become quite mercinary. So why are we returning? Well as i said for 25 years we enjoyed Pamps and the Bulgarian hospitilty and this i fear may be our farewell trip. We have always been quite fortunate with the snow so this is not the reason. Whatever politics is going on is strangling a once fantastic resort, the bars were empty, the slopes were empty and the famous friendship and very friendly and patient instructors had been replaced by people trying at every opportunity to extract money via either insisting you eat in certain bars or they would not join you.
Would love to see this resort recover and return to it's former self but alas i fear money has become more important than people.

I think that things are vastly improved from last year - I was there last year and it was a sad place although the lovely friendly people are still there - you just have to look a bit harder to find them sometimes. So far there is a lot positive coming from the resort this year even thought the snow is having a poor start. Those who have been have lots of positive comments about the place unlike last year when it was clear there were many political problems in the place.re: Where is Webcam
Yes mate it was if that helps you avoid any of the other points. You dont return to a resort for 25 years if you dont like it. Believe it or not i'm on your side mate but these points i made need to be addressed no point burying your head in the SNOWre: Where is Webcam

Totally agree Mick - I was just confused that your post was not related to the heading.
2008/09 was a very poor year all round for Pamporovo and I think they learnt a big lesson from that from the way they have improved things so far. Not been yet this season so I'll make my mind up in Feb but a big consertive effort has been made to get their act together on the face of what I can gather so far.
