I want to go skiing/snowboarding with a group of friends March 2008 and thought Bulgaria sounded like a good place to go. We all range from beginners to advanced - can anyone suggest a reasonably priced area to go with slopes to suit all levels? We're all mid 20's so would be good to have a bit of nightlife.
Pamps is good for beginners and intermediates although as arron says it too has challenging runs suited to advanced skiiers and boarders. Nightlife is ok if you stay close to centre (otherwise you'll be pauing for taxis in, although not expensive could be a bit irritating).
We stayed in the Prespa in Pamps and it was central and a good clean hotel. The bus to the slopes was only 1min walk and the journey on the bus only takes 5-10 mins tops.
I have been checking out some of the places you have suggested. I get the impression some of them might be quite small in terms of the amount od pistes there are. Am i getting the wrong impression? Also, any ideas how busy the slopes get?
