Where to go - what to do.

Please excuse me if I appear to be Mr. Know-It-All for that's not my intention. Nor is it a fact, because I learn more and more each day by reading your posts and comments.

But there simply is no 'better' resort in Bulgaria than any other. They all have their charm, they all have their plus sides, and they all have their down sides.

I would describe them like this...........

BOARDING.
Bansko in my opinion just edges it over Borovets with Pamporovo a close 3rd. I would promote Pamporovo to 1st if you included Chepalare, as it offers the longest black runs in Bulgaria as well as uncrowded slopes.

SKIING.
Always depends on your ability. For beginners I would put Pamporovo 1st, Borovets 2nd and Bansko 3rd purely based on the gradiant of the slopes and the overall snow conditions. Alternatively for intermediates and advanced skiers I would put Bansko first and Pamps and Borovets equal 2nd.

NIGHTLIFE
Nightlife is great wherever you go, and we can all say that where we went was best. Personally, if you do not have a great time in the evenings wherever you go------- you are brain dead. Wink

Overall, Bulgaria offers you the opportunity to enjoy great skiing and boarding, at an affordable price and with people who really know how to party.

Live it, love it, and enjoy a country that welcomes people that smile.

No matter what resort you choose, you chose Bulgaria, and you chose RIGHT Razz Razz Razz

Rob,

Chepalre is just outside Pamporovo, you can either book holidays there thru this website or you can organize day trips if you are staying in Pamps.

As Pete says it is a great ski area, it also has the longest green run in BG at about 6.5kms that takes you from the top of the mountain right to the bottom. The other good thing about Chepalare is that all runs finish back at the 2 man lift at the bottom so there is nowalking anywhere, apart from at the very top from the end of the 2 ...

If you go there I can guarantee you woudl enjoy it.
