Hi, im looking into going skiing in bulgaria in January. Were both beginners and in our mid 20's so just wondering which resort would be the best for us?
I prefer Boro, but think each resort has it's own merits and it all seems to be down to individual preference. I know Hunters (Boro) are offering Twin centre holidays for the 2009 / 2010 season to cater for those people who are not sure where to go and want a day out at a different resort included in the package. Not sure if anyone else is doing that, but worth looking at the options and getting feedback from others.
ok thanks for all your advice, boro sounds like the place to go so! any tips on where to stay? also are ski lessons available to buy when you get there or should you book before you go? what other hidden expenses should we expect?
(apologies, we really are beginners!)
Thanks again
Claire
Best go with a good company I've always gone Inghams, Hotels, Rila, Samakov and Ice Angel. Also if your complete beginners go for the broucher Learn to Ski Pack good value for money.
Borovets is ace ....we went for first time last year and booked to go back the same week we got cant (already on count down). I would book your learn to ski before you go otherwise it will cost you a fortune in resort. My friends were all beginners last year never been before at all and they could all ski by mid week. We stayed at Iglika Palace last year and have rebooked there again. If you book there go for the superior rooms its worth the supplement. Hope that helps.
Yep - Borovets for us but it is the only place I've ever been. Will be our 9th year this year. We always stay at the Iglika Palace but our friends have stayed in a few places Hotel Mura is nice as well. H ;o)
