Which Ski's to Hire???

I'm off to Andorra thursday but not sure if it worth paying a bit extra for a higher grade ski.
Last year i hired the basic(Bronze/Green) ski but i was snowploughing most of the time.In Borovets this year i was just starting to do Parallel turns etc.

Dont want to pay the extra if its not goning to make much difference to a novice like me
