Which resort?

Went to Pamp last March on first skiing holiday and really enjoyed it.Found that it was a great place to learn to ski. Dispite some of the negative reports found on this site, we thought Bulgaria was a "great wee spot" and intent to return early in 2005.
The question is, however, to which resort? Have read that Bansko is for more experienced skiers and not sure about Boro.

What would you more experienced folk recommend? Which resort would provide the best experience[progression] for a second ski holiday, combined with lively apres ski?

re: Which resort?

Stick to the devil you know. Razz

Pamporovo has some great reds around the back to test your skills on year 2, plus a day trip to Chepalare will cost you very little and boasts the longest blue/green and black runs in the country.
Be rude not to Razz

PP Cool

Glad you chose to ignore the negative comments. Pamps is great but Bansko is looking a very good choice now it has had a lot of updates and does have more runs than Pamporovo. I would prefer that over Borovets Very Happy

re: Which resort?

Hi,

I went to pamps on my first two skiing holidays and had a great time. Theres plenty of nice blue and red runs. I think its a great place for your second skiing excursion. I actually enjoyed my second time more, cause I could ski a bit better and fall off more spectaculy.

re: Which resort?

Have been to all the three main resorts in the last 18 months and the best is:

Bansko for skiing and infrastructure (and value for money)
Pamp for nightlife
Borovets for errr ......nothin'

Very Happy

re: Which resort?

There ain't nowt wrong with Borovets - don't dis it unless you tried it. I've now done Borovets and Pamps and much prefered Borovets
