Hi Richard i fly with ttem approx 7 or 8 times a year , both summer and winter , better than easy jet .
New luggage limit is 32kg over 6 bags , but see site for definative of this .

ALL IN ALL good service given , if not basic , but cheap to boot too

re: Whizz Air

we use wizz loads and their flights are fantastically priced only downside 9 times out of 10 is the times of the flights being late at night for arrival in Sofia & early get up for the return...

re: Whizz Air

Hi ya,

I fly with them once a week, the main reason being the timings from Bulgaria to London are perfect as I can do the return journey from Sofia to Luton in one day, although I agree with the others that from UK to BG they're not so good!

They also offer a wizz account great if you are regular, but even if you are going once a year, you will save money if there are several of you on the same flight. It's on their website - wizz account or wizz account plus - it works - I use ...

I agree with WFM - hold luggage is great - don't normally take luggage but we went back to Uk recently and took empty hold suitcases to fill up as 32kilos is a lot of teabags!! If you want to eat on the plane, I suggest taking your own food but apart from that they are just the same as the cheap airlines.

Wizz air are great in my opinion! And contrary to most people on here I think the flight times are superb - late flights out of Luton mean I can work a full day and still get to Bulgaria without wasting a days holiday leave.
Had a mad panic once due to a broken down train and arrived at Luton 30 mins before flight expecting to have missed it (as I'm sure would if it had been Ryanair or easyjet) but the Wizz checkin people didn't even mention it. They were still happily checking people in ...

They were still happily checking people in after us and always seem very relaxed (please don't take this to mean it is ok to arrive 30 mins beforehand all the time!).

re: Whizz Air

Gosh... not too sure about wizz really! Bare in mind they don't have the technical infrastructure like Easy or Ryan, so maintenance is normally divid out to local third parties... who often cannot give priority to wizz if something goes wrong!

Take a spanner...
