I read this on Sky News tonight.
This year my young son and I had a nasty experience being attacked by wild dogs - kinda of my fault I guess as it was in Bansko and opposite the appts where we were staying (and the area was still very building site) was an old goat shed - as we wandered home in the eve we saw goats, donkeys etc wandering around which my son loved. One night we couldn't see them so walked BEHIND the goat shed - DOH!!!!!!!!!!! 4 big dogs looking a cross between Rots and mongrels sprang out - tried to bite us - chased us - YIKES!!! We ran!!! and escaped!! I thought it was because we had 'encroached' on their piece of land (think they may have been guarding the goat shed) BUT each night after that when we returned to the appts they were out in the road WAITING FOR US!!! and had another couple of go at attacking us - friend with us one night had to swing skis at them to put them off.
Terrified my son to the extent he scared of dogs for awhile since returning home but he is OK now. Scared the XXXX out of me too!!!!!!!!!!!
First time I have had a bad experience with BG dogs. There are lots by the gondola in Bansko that really are 'soft puppies' though I have ALWAYS taught my son to be careful - and everyone should be because - you 'never know'.....!!!!
