Wind Gondola Stop

Does anyone know what the windspeed needs to be before they stop running the Gondola in Borovets.
Thanks

re: Wind Gondola Stop

If i remember correctly they close every ski lift once a month on different days for maintenance which can be a bummer but it has to be done..

re: Wind Gondola Stop

20-25km winds.
Today the gondola was operating under these wind speeds but only operating to the mid station. From there you can ski over to Yastrebets 4 man chairlift.
Hope this helps

re: Wind Gondola Stop

No idea on the windspeed but out of the 6 days skiing it was shut for 3 days when I was there. Each chairlift as well is shut on certain days, sometimes just for a morning for maintanence. This causes some queuing. The 4 chairlift to the left of the Rila is on Wed I think and the 4 chairlift in front of the Rila is Either Sun or Mon, but could be wrong - memory not what it was!! Booze Very Happy
