Wind Worries

I've been looking at the forcast for Borovets:

The wind looks worryingly high! Does anybody know how strong the wind has to be before the slopes close?

If they do I'll just have to get some extra done! it'd be nice to know though so I can monitor the situation.http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Borovets/3day/top

The wind predictions are usually pretty acurate on the snow forecast website.
25/30 km/h winds and they usually shut the gondola from mid station to the top.
Obviously this depends on direction etc.....

Cheers Fiona. Does that mean the bottom lifts stay open within reason?

Tortoisebob, have been in Borovets for many years and I have never known the bottom chair lifts close down due to wind. Even when it's blowing a gale up the top they do run the lower four man chairs. The Rila chair in particular is very sheltered most of the way and they never seem to shut them down unless for maintenence. I am not sure what they do with the Yaterbets Express 4 chair as our last three holidays have been in good weather. Hope this helps.

Had the worlds hottest curry on a works night out yesterday. Paying the price today!!!
