re: XMAS/BOROVETS

Hi BW,

We went to Boro the Xmas before last and stayed at the Samokov.

There was a special party on 24th which was pathetic and an evening meal with alll the agents customers together inc free wine. That was a good night but Boxing day am wasd a bit difficult!!!!. There were plenty of lively bars to go to as well.

The snow was a bit thin at the lower slopes but skiing was possible.I think snow usually arrives in early to mid Dec .Check the back archives on this site?

Hope this ...

re: XMAS/BOROVETS

Been last two years to Boro for new year week. Great fun, we take a party of 20+ with kids etc, All enjoy it, Not booked for this year as New Year , we would leave Boxing day, so noit so sure, but we will return. This year, on new years eve the snow fell heavily. We celebrared the Uk new year, European new year and Bulgaria new year in one night. Could not stay awake to the USA one, !!!!!!!!

Went to Borovets last year for New Year and it was fab, great atmosphere but don't bother with the gala dinner whatever hotel you're at, everyone we spoke to said they were awful! We went to The Blue, which is opposite the Black Cat restaurant, for 50levs pp we got fantastic food and more wine and champers than we could drink. We were the only English people in there and they made us so welcome, we even celebrated English New Year at 2am becuase of the time difference. We are going back ...

We are going back again this new year and I've just emailed the guy who owns The Blue to book our table for new year's eve!!!
Snow was ok, icy at times and they need more piste bashers but it snowed really heavily on New Year's Eve.
Enjoy anyway! Smile
