re: Xcountry skiing Borovets

No special tracks in Borovets as the resort has lost the licence and even can not hold competitions at the moment.
As for shops the best bet are the small ones opposite the Samokov Hotel
Alex shop comes to mind.
Some of these places keep gear for ''rainy days''
Be careful as most of the paths will cross speedy alpine skiers.
I always say that xcountry skiing is a great way of getting proper fit but sadly not in Borovets.

One place you can practice actually(if you manage to get the gear and if you are with a car is 10 minutes away from Borovets along the valley Iskar towards Mala Tsurkva village and Madjare. Heard that another 20+30cm have fallen since I left it Thursday Morning so even better flat spaces to practice Xcountry in the Cherni Iskar valley.

re: Xcountry skiing Borovets

Thanks for the reply Mr M.
Disappointed there is not longer xcountry tracks in borovets. I will probably give it a miss as we dont have a car, I am sure the downhill will be plenty for me this year with all the snow.
