Xmas at Rila Hotel

Hi, Question from newbies coming over at Xmas on first family ski/boarding trip & having never been to Bulgaria Confused

Is the water in hotel rooms okay to drink or do I need to buy bottled water for the kids to drink & if so where is the best shop for stuff like that. We are HB at Rila but wondered what happens at lunchtime with the kids & adults ski lessons as our teenager is boarding but our younger daughter is skiing.

If anyone has any hints or tips then we would love to hear them. We have booked a package with Nielson and can't wait Very Happy Razz Smile Smile

Thanks Coxer

Been reading this forum for a while so Bobby's bar is already on our list of musts especially as we have a bottomless pit of a teenage son! (Should of called him Dyson!) Happy dance
We were more concerned with our daughter (being younger) at lunchtime as choc ice & chips would be her ideal choice of lunch! Banana skiing

You will get all of that at Bobbys plus they have an area designed for kids to chill out with telly etc.

Hi dekka they say the water is ok to drink. However we always buy bottled water and use hotel water to clean our teeth. All restaurants sell chips you'll be fine there. As for ice cream they'll be snow out side just don't eat the yellow stuff it's not nice

re: Xmas at Rila Hotel

Thanks guys
I could tell you a gruesome story about yellow snow from my first ever ski trip with school, when we all went down with a stomach bug !! It was like Hansel & Gretel's gingerbread trail but with yellow patches when they took us all out for a walk, not been back to France skiing since !!
Another quick question
Would normal hiking boots be ok for apres ski trotting round the ski resort or would it be wise to invest in moon boots.

re: Xmas at Rila Hotel

Hi Dekka,

We drink the water on a daily baiss and the only bottled water we buy is sparkling...

Normal hiking boots will be fine! I also just picked up your email and I will reply to you later.
