Xscape Castleford

Hi,

After a happy week in pamps this year have booked to go to the xscape for the day on saturday - have had to book a lesson with them as can link turns, control speed ect - but have never used a button lift before (had a slow class in pamps, which kept the rest of us back - so only got to do the green from the top)

Hi,

After a happy week in pamps this year have booked to go to the xscape for the day on saturday - have had to book a lesson with them as can link turns, control speed ect - but have never used a button lift before (had a slow class in pamps, which kept the rest of us back - so only got to do the green from the top)

Is a button lift easy to use? used the drag on the bunny slope which has easy enough - I imagine is somthing like that? only was going to book some time for after my lesson - also for anyone who's been to one of the xscape's is it any good (appart from the obvious lack of real terain and shortness of the slope) I'm only a begginner really so probably wont bother me - looking forward to pamps 05..........

Cheers

Darren

Button lift is easy so long as you stand up straight and keep your skis parallel, but at the top you have to make a quick right or left turn depending on which side you get on. Make sure you let go as soon as you get to the top or you won't have time to make the turn and you'll bounce off the padding they've had to put on the back wall! Also, one side of the lift usually runs slower than the other so ask your instructor which the easy side is. Enjoy! Wink

If you can handle that drag lift at Pamps ... the one over the back of the hill, you can handle any button lift in the world.
