Yastreberts Express

How do you get to the bottom of the Yasterberts Express from central borovets/samokov? How far is it? I know you can use the gondola on the days it is open. I notice on monday mornings that the gondola and top lifts are closed for maintenance but yastreberts express should still be open. Its these times/windy/foggy/busy gondola days that I am concerned about. Therefore most days!

how far is it? Is it possible to ski or board to it or back from it? Or is it just a seperate slope with no direct ski links?

you can ski back from it if you take the right of the three runs from the top of Yastrebets. You can't ski to it as gravity stands in your way. Its pretty self explanatory when you get up and see the piste map.

Its not far in a taxi, might have been 5/7 levs last year cant remember. I did it a few times when the Gondela was closed! You can ski back but you have to walk a bit at the end, well if you board you do!

cost is about 10 levs but you can barter the price best wait until a few people want to go and fill up the cart
