You were great last time....

Hey
This was a great place to get info for Borovets last time we went there (04) and I'm asking for advice again! Borovets was brilliant but we fancied trying Bansko. Any comments/reccomendaions would be great!
Cheers
(and thanks for last time!)

Well not having been to Bansko but going by what I have learnt from here you cant really go wrong. As you may be aware Bansko has / is having money poured into it to produce a top notch resort. Highest altitude in Bg and most runs. Brand new Gondola. Also it is a town in it's own right as opposed to the others so loads of places to eat a drink more cheaply. Still very quiet but that will change soon so give it a go I intend too in 2007 Very Happy

Hi George

I was in Bansko in Feb and loved it. Can't wait to go back. Stayed at the Pirin which was a very good hotel. May try the Strazhite next time as I like its location a bit better thats the only reason. Ski area is fantastic and town lovely with plenty of bars and restaurants. The local mehanas are lovely and people very friendly. You may find it a bit quieter than Borovets as it is a real town rather than a man made resort.

If you have any specific questions fire away ...
