advice on booking direct

could anyone advise on booking holiday to borovets through this site,had a quote and is cheaper than booking through agent, all the good and bad experiences please......

I booked with Bulgaria ski the last 2 years and the service was excellent. My only gripe being the 4% credit card charge as u can only pay by credit card from UK.
Unfortunatley this year something has changed e-mails have gone unanswered and a certain booking has gone begging.I have booked direct with the Avalon Hotel in Bansko and arranged my own flights.
Avalon arranging transfers, passes and ski hire etc.
