Children welcome in all bars as long as they don't get to drunk, and stand their rounds Cool
If joe is describing the Happy End ?? its very expensive, and to my mind the staff are miserable and unhelpful...
Try `Friends' (under Fortuna), still a bit pricey, or under same ownership `Lion'....
Its a shame about the Happy End, great position, and well laid out, but it is owned by Ulen, and in that the staff and management are employees, so don't really care. Bansko could do with a good ...

Its a shame about the Happy End, great position, and well laid out, but it is owned by Ulen, and in that the staff and management are employees, so don't really care. Bansko could do with a good `apres ski' bar near to the gondola and ski road, somewhere offering cheap drinks or promos, simple snacks (beer nibbles), entertainment etc.... with fun staff, mad barmen/women, ski vids, bar games (anyone for a boatrace ??)... Only maybe till 7.30 pm, then people can be off to get changed (like that ever happens Cool)
It should have old floorboards (non-slip!!), heavy benches and tables (good for dancing !!), decent toilets on the same floor, and secure ski racks (so they don't go walkabout and you don't need to worry about your pride and joy !!)....
Perhaps not everyones cup of tea, but it works in other countries, and i feel there is a need ????

Try The Victoria, out of gondola turn right on main road up the hill less 100m, good beer and very good food, pizza less than £2.50! Good menu. 1/2 ltr house red 8 lv.

re: after ski drinkie!

do not misss the old town, not in the center.but round the back, good food a and great prices, 1.50 leva aa beer. I recomend gusoka, it has locals and lots of regulars, right before the church at the cross roads, first left then right, you will see two bars mehanas with pirinsko signs, justpast them a coke cola sign , that it it.
