airport transfers

can any one tell me who has just gone/comeback tell me the truth about sofia airport and wether the airlines regularly detour to alternate airports with 6/8 hour transfers- slightly concerned as we booked borovets for the short transfers - having 4 kids to keep amused as difficult at best of times

Ive never been re-routed when flying to Sofia ( 4 times)

Bourgas - 8 hour transfer (with 40 minute stop at service station).

aaaaaaaaaaaaah, a p[lague on them and the children of all of them who should try it. may their toes suffer greatly from pyrea. (and yes i do know thats gum desease. Its kinda the point.)

and me we flew back on the 27th of december and had the dreaded 7 hour transfer this was not helped by the fact that the coach driver got lost about three times!!! We were totally left in the dark by inghams abiout what was going on and found most of our info out from the neilsons rep!

Be prepared. We had the 8 hour transfer through a very foggy night on 27th Dec. Worth it in the end for a fantastic holiday.
