re:and today in the news....

Is that a reputable website Steve or like when the Daily fail predicted the Uk would be under a foot of snow for 100 days with temperatures down to -15. Since then It's been one of the warmest winters ever Very Happy

I do love how wrong they get it, I admit I read it everyday, but the weather forecasts are laughable. Coldest ever winter? It was -5 a year ago, it's now about 8 :/

I'm going to grasp on to this message. I've been quite down about the conditions (due out on the 1st Feb) and just couldn't see much change but read this and then looked around at a number of other sites and they are starting to say that conditions are going to change around the 25th. Although I'm not a great believer in long range weather forcecast and quite frankly most haven't got a scooby as they really are just guessing. But for my own sanity I'm going with this one. I'm going to grasp on this message also, as I've been quite down listening to Scott Ferguson's CONSTANT MOANING about the long range weather forecasts! Mad Seriously dude, if I have to sit beside you on the plane listening to your 'Private Frazer' impersonation...."We're Doomed I Tells Thee, Doomed!", You'll be limping around with a gammy leg as well when we get there!

So come on everyone (not just you Ferguson), chin up and look forward to the holidays. It's a holiday for goodness sake. It's going to be brilliant! Booze

re:and today in the news....

The moderate fall (approx 15cm) in the last 2 days has allowed for existing pistes to be really freshened up, skiing is still quite limited, but it's a step in the right direction.. More snow forecast for the weekend, temps were very low overnight allowing for the cannons to run as well Very Happy

re:and today in the news....

We had a bit of snow yesterday and the snow cannons ran all of last night, whilst it is true we are limited for runs, the Yastrebets slopes have been good all season and this morning were as near to perfect as you will get. OK it would be nice to have more variety but you can ski and enjoy it. Very Happy

Just wanting to curtail your ethusiasm. Didn't want you turning up in Bansko to find no snow and hardly any ski-ing opportunities so thought I'd bring you down to my level of pessimism, then when you get to Bansko in February any snow and boarding opportunities will be a bonus for you. Just looking out for you. Wink
