My sister and her familly have just got back from soldeou, after quizzing her and her hubby about the hols ( great time) the skiing( good) the food (ok) the night life( not bad) beer prices(same as uk) cost of hols(affordable) it made my mind up, and we've booked.

Jonbonce - we've just booked Pamps again for next year too. A colleague at work was in Austria last week (we were in Pamps) and he said conditions there were dreadful. There were two beginners in his group and they gave up after two days. He's good intermediate, but even he didn't ski on the last day because he said it was like glass at the top and slush for the bottom two thirds. I know he paid a lot more than we did - and we managed to ski all week on good reds and blues.

Friends of ours went to France last week whilst we were in Pamps, they had to drive for nearly an hour to get to Flaine for decent snow!
We had to walk about 200m!
Deffo booking for Feb 16 next year to Malina Chalets(half term).
