Has anyone been to boro this year and seen the new run that was going to be built. it was meant for beginners to ski off of the mountain by the gondala. Would be lovely to know as I cannot face that walk back up to the gondala, I end up skiing to half station just to avoid it.
thanks Dar
got back sat,the run is good at the top but the bottom is a walk out .i was on a snowboard but i saw a lot of skiers walking.its a long run at the bottom its only about 6ft wide with 3ft walls of ice each side .good luck i only did it once and hated it
Just got back from Borovets and the instructor told us it was not a very good run. Because it is only quite narrow in places and is very icy you have to plough most of the way down and he said it was very hard on the legs. It is only the 3rd time i have been skiing but managed to ski from the top to the bottom. Maybe this might be a better option than catching the gondola half way. If you ski to the bottom there is a chair lift that will take you back to the middle if you prefer
I thought it was ok. Granted on the areas with tree cover it didn't get enough snow and was quite icy. Basically the first time you go down you will have to stop quite frequently on the flat stretchs, but the 2nd time you will remember and pick up some speed. I wouldnt say it was great for beginners because it is narrow and you would have to plough. But more experienced skier can go down fine, and theres plenty of oportunites on this trail for some good off piste skiing. Avoid the ice too. ...

My advice keep as much speed as possible and don't stop too much. It's rather long though so skiing it all the way without major thigh burn would be a challenge.
