Im absolutley gutted after hearing all the reports that it is hot and it is now snowing. so could you just inform me please how many of the 12 lifts are working and also how many runs. also if possible when it is likely to snow. thanks
I've been in Borovets for a week now-leaving tomorrow. To confirm what's been said above- today there were no runs open other than the small blue run in front of the Rila hotel (which in my opinion would be shut in any other resort-it is in such a bad state). Some beginners were out on this. Ski school have been teaching on this slope all week.

I have been up the gondala and 4 man quad outside Rila (which were shut today-presumably due to wind) but there has been no skiing from them. We walked down from the quad lift and there is literally only a dusting of snow in places and most of it lower down has no snow at all.
Earlier in the week it was possible to ski on 2 of the red runs at Yasterbets but this got icy and patchy and the lift has been shut yesterday and today.
So until Borovets gets a significant snow fall and the temperatures drop (it's been regularly about 8-10degrees this week and it 15 degrees at one point) I can't see there being any improvement.
Despite doing very little skiing, I've had a good time eating and drinking this week but come prepared with a good book and playing cards to keep yourselves entertained!
