We are supposed to be going to Borovets this coimg new year. Since booking i have fallen pregnant so obviously wont be able to ski. Before i make up my mind whether to cancel, just wondered if there would be enough to do in borovets to keep me entertained whilst the rest of the party went off skking?Thanks :

First of all congratulations,
i went to Borovets last year, on the one day when I didn't ski (had a dodgy burger or sumething the night before lol), I found that apart from the skiing Borovets had very little to offer, apart from resteraunts and bars. A short taxi ride away is Samakov A much larger town, I would have thouht their would be something going on there. Then a bit further out would be Sofia bigger city again. I expect you could find something to do, but you will have to look for ...

Surely a ski resort is for skiing - (or boarding) that's why it's a ski resort. It is after all just a small villiage but with bars, restaurants and nightlife.It caters for the many - not the few.
