there are cash machines but we could not draw money out for some reason, so we went into the bank which is in rila hotel and got money that way, many people found it hard to get money out from the cash point.re: atm borovets

As of Feb 2012: I used the ATM in the foyer of the Rila hotel with a NatWest Visa debit card (and took out £100 worth of Leva, other posts have said max £40, but these were old posts), I saw other Brits using the ATM at the Gondola, I seem to remember there being an ATM opp. the gondola as well. There is also an ATM 20M to the left of the Rila hotel entrance (facing the Rila from the Nursery slopes) but it was out of money when I tried it.

P.S.Used a couple of the exchange booths and they are all pretty competitive (better rates than NatWest gave me due to charges) especially when you only want to change a small amount. They all take £ and Euro and lots of other currencys.
