Going back to bulgaria next january we have been to borovets twice would like to try pamporovo but not to sure if it would be so good, what do you think?
thanks
alison
I am going out to Pamps for the 3rd year running and the place is FULL of people who have been before. As you say, all instructors are great and everybody seems to have speacial praise for the instructor that they have been with. I can still hear the words "lets skii" from the 1st year.
I havn't been to Borovets before, but from what I can gather it is somewhat larger that Pamporova. We have always been too tired after skiing for too much apres ski, but if that's what you want ...
Alison.

Never been anywhere else skiing before, but MIGHT try somewhere else next year - just for a change. May try Bansco, or maybe futher afield.
The Bulgarians I spoke to seemed to think that Bansko was better (as far as I can remember...it's all a bit hazy). I do remember them telling me that they have a lot of potatoes and mafia type gangsters in Samakov but whether the two are related I don't know.
I was a bit disappointed by the lack of runs at Borovets. We'd boarded all of the available ones by our third day.
Was good fun but I think I'd go somewhere else next time.
