I thought I would try it as it had some snow on it. In March 07, there were not a lot of runs you could say that about.
Fair play to you though Mark, there are alot of people who think that they can do it and end up getting in trouble. Knowing your limits is very wise.
I took a skidoo part way up the wall, I thought the thing was going to topple over on me, it seemed very steep, how do you get to the top of the wall to have a look over ?
i had a laugh on the 2 black runs you go over on 3 man lift at the top, tried to go slow and lost edge within 10 m
did 75 on my bum laughing my head off before i could get grip. managed to stand up and do the rest to the bottom but it was hard on the legs,
the 2 lads i took -by thursday i had to push it to keep up with them on the 2 red/black runs that go to 3 man lift, 25 years ypunger than me

raced at end of the day when all quiet from top down the green run to the ski station(2) done it in 7 mins 33 secs,
my legs were burning(no one else in danger from us)
My eight year old put me to shame by never falling once (when he was skiing - differnet story standing still) on the red-black-red! My bottom on the other hand developed a very close relationship to the black runs!!!!!
Had the miss fortune to be sat behind the 3 mentioned above on the coach to the resort. They were exceedingly drunk and very foul mouthed all the journey even when children on board. As people were getting off at their hotels others were trying to move further back the coach. On the coach home one had to be told by a parent of a young child to turn a disgusting rap song down because his 6 year old son was sat directly behind.

They were the topic of converstation for many on the bus. All trying to find ways of avoiding them. We then turn up for Ski school and they are in our group we feared the worst. They only lasted a day and thought they could do better on their own. One of them decided to show off to the group and the instructor by skiing backwards. The instructor George said they were dangerous people and an accident waiting to happen. Racing down the Green Run a case in point. Stories on the slopes were that one of them had an accident with an instructor and was made to buy him new poles. That caused a good few laughs in the bar at night. Our group was much better without them and we progressed at a good rate and had a good laugh along the way. The next time we see them is at the presentation when they sat down and started to drink all the wine. A 68 year old chap with us was not happy so he poured everyone a glass so they did not take it all, even if they hated wine. Most of us ignored them so they left.
If 9 are going next time god help the place if they are like those 3. It is a family resort one of them said he had a 7 year old son if only he had remembered that when he was swearing for all to hear. Drinking bootles of Brandy tends to do that!
Other than that had a cracking time met some great people and improved my skiing no end including 4 of us doing The Wall on Thursday. Even the 68 year old did it with some style.
