back from pamps

Hi all
got back yesterday from a week of boarding yesterday snow conditions were 100% better than last year but still not great ice and rocks from half way down, there are lots of new snow cannons there which would improve the green for the beginers but there was a dispute over money and the lake was drained to feed the cannons!!!! best runs were the reds and blacks for boarding with reasonable snow just keep to the edges as its ice in the middle.

Price increase is getting out of hand at the moment as the spider group run almost everything, things may change next year tho as they have had their lease pulled away from on most things so there may be some competition between bars and restaurants.
The new six seater lift to stoikite is progressing really well and is sure to be ready for next season with a couple of new runs.
So hpoefully next season they will sort out the snow cannons, be a bit of competition between resuarants and a couple of new runs fingers crossed.
This is just my opinion of things and being as honest as i can.....any way thats enough of pamps for this year off to Tignes 5th march woo hoo!!!!

re: back from pamps

Chris, The snow was brilliant. Food was little expensive. For a good burger go to Aspen bar in val claret. Pizza Mick do a reasonable pizza in Lavachet. What is your level of skiing? As there is four free lifts. The couple I went with used these all week. You will love it Any specific questions, I will try to answer.
regards Dave.

I stayed in le home club self catering

re: back from pamps

Supermarket was brill. Bakers was very good for fresh bread. English owned bar was reasonable for bar snacks, meals a bit expensive. Scottys bar was good for a drink after skiing. There is a free bus to take you between resorts, runs 24 hrs, just hop on and off at will.
We had a local area lift pass cost if i remember right 380 euros for two. with lift pass we spent approx 800euros (two adults). We ate out all the time except for buying bread and stuff for breakfast.
