baggage allowance

Just wondering about the baggage allowance on our flight (with Thomson). Just got our tickets ( 1 week to go Very Happy ) and it has a limit of 20kg. I've heard this includes the weight of my snowboard as well!!

If so then my snowboard, boots and just half of my luggage is going to be over 20kgs I reckon.

Anyone had any problems with too much weight... snowboards, boots heavy clothing etc etc?

re: baggage allowance

You should be ok, it only tends to be a problem if you are way over the limit. Like i was in December. My excess cost more than the original flight however i was moving out here.

re: baggage allowance

You should have bought ski / board carriage with your hol. I had to pay 15 bucks to take my board and boots etc.

re: baggage allowance

You find that you have to pay for your board to go on, I am being charged £17 by Balkan for my Skis and Boots as extras.

re: baggage allowance

I've paid £20 for my board carriage but have heard that the 20kg limit still includes the board Confused

re: baggage allowance

I always put my ski's in a double holder...wrap as much ski wear ...(jackets,pants etc) around them...protects your gear and no if you paid extra for board carriage this does not have a weight restriction....includes your boots as well.
hope this helps...as lots of companys DO charge if you go over the baggage limit...hear it everyday...(i'm cabin crew)..trust me it spoils what is otherwise the best holiday

re: baggage allowance

it shouldnt really equal your snowboard aswell
we normally pay an extra £17 to take out our own skis and boots so they go thru a separate way and the suitcases fall under the allowed weight
