Just to inform people flying from Newcastle to sofia on the 26th there has been a slight change to flight schedule. You will probs receive an email regarding this.

What is the alteration? I fly out on 19th from Newcastle.Is it a Manchester flight stopping at Ncl?

Yes, i was meant to fly from manchester but got a letter informing me wed be stoppig off at newcastle on the way....yeah....right...I'm sure many people were as impressed as me with that, i changed flights to east midlands. It doesnt seem like a big deal, until they tell you it adds over an hour to the time your packed in like sardines on that plane!re: balkan holidays newcastle flight

I've flown from Edinburgh the past 2 years and have stopped off at Newcastle each year. I'm having to fly from Glasgow this year and not heard anything yet, so hoping that its going to be a direct flight this year! Does anyone know anything different?

Balken- Newcastle! right 
Just returned tonight after a great week in Borovets- flying from Newcastle with Balken (as we have done 6 times before)- and we have stopped off at Edinburgh and East Midlands before- this is nothing new to those who fly with Balkan-
But this year, we collected at Manchester, before flying from Newcastle, and dropped off there before flying on to Newcastle.
Outward flight was ok, on time and no complaints- (there were complaints about the attitude of the rep ...

Upon returning today- picked up at 07.15am- airport for 08.30am- qued in one of 4 desks- only for our woman (older one!) to be getting one past the desk to four of the other desks so very slow! there appeared to be a few complaints going on at times with the manager keep making an appearance and unsattisfied customers??
When we eventually got to check in the woman said "we do not have your hotel here so cant check in"- i showed her my "e ticket" details to be told "i dont want to see that", and was told to wait until others had checked in!
I asked for the manager to come (again it would appear)- who did and eventually found our details on the very same sheet the woman said we were not on!
Not an apology or any thing- she printed the tickets and said "there you are- go"- we only just made the plane boarding at 10.30am- no time for duty free or anything!
On the plane, there were many complaints of people who had pre booked seats together not being allocated them, and families having been split up when there were seats empty together etc etc.
At Manchester- the Newcastle folk have to get off and walk right around the airport being checked in again and going through security again etc but just taking an hour.
Again when the plane was boarded there were Manchester folk allocated seats in which Newcastle folk were allready in!- after much fuss the crew said "just sit anywhere till we drop off at Newcastle" WTF!!!
Balkan have not done themselves proud today like- even though from Newcastle we have no choice to use them if we want to come to Bulgaria.
My, and many others comments cards regflected this today!¬
