bansko any developments..

hi there!

just wondering with all the building work of new apartments in Bansko is anyone aware of an increase in the size of the ski area??

re: bansko any developments..

I understand that a couple of new pistes are planned for next season but that a planned major expansion of the ski area has been blocked at the moment. Steve c who posts here is out there at the moment and may be able to tell us more when he returns the week after next.

Cheers

You are a cheeky monkey. Slow in the bar indeed. It won't be now will it. You should warn the manager to get in extra supplies lol Booze Booze Booze

Hi Steve

I would be interested to hear about Sunny Beach and your opinions generally once you are back.

Give my love to Bansko - does it seem strange being there 'out of ski season'. Are there many tourists or is all just the locals at this time.

Take care and have fun.

Hi all...

Attempted to mountain bike up the snow road {banskoites will know}, i now realise what we are skiing over, Jesus !!!
made it one quarter of the way [about mile and half} and gave up, boulders, streams, mud....
Went back on the raod to continue and got lost, ended up in a hotel car park, hotel closed !!
Went in anyway to ask directions and was offered a beer [fools], spent a glorious afternoon with the owners in the sunshine, eventually ...

Hardly any Brit tourists, quite a few E Germans and a big party from Iseral {work that out ???}
Anyway got to go out again now, Zagorka is calling me..
Tomorrow i am really going to concentrate and get up to the middle station at least, will be taking my camera so hopefully some piccies..
Kim, most reports from Sunny Beach seem to point to that Golden Sands may be better, not quite so much development and less ladies of the night lining the streets. Both are very commercialised, better areas just outside, maybe within 10K, prices seem to vary considerably depending on who you speak to, i am assuming you are interested in property, if it is only to holiday then perhaps Golden Sands or surrounding resorts may be better, getting a little expensive BG wise
when you consider i paid 19 leva for a small guinness, a coke and a JD and coke on the front at Golden Sands. Much cheaper places around in the resort so not really a problem {the hookers are though, a bloody pain especially if you are on your own} I keep telling them they cannot afford me !!!
Gotta go, will keep in touch...
