re: bansko lifts

Hi Tom,
Going up there are usually no queues but at the moment due to ski road to resort being closed you can wait up to 40 minutes for the gondula down depending on how late you ski (ie at about 4.30pm) and because it is currently a very busy period

Hi Tom,

When we had lessons in borovets it was only for the morning so i would assume that its the same in bansko.

I'm going in 4 weeks time so can find out for you.

Happy skiing or boarding.

re: bansko lifts

We went through the Ulin si ischool and they give you 4 hours plus lunch. We skiied before and after the official 'lesson' time.

Our instructor left us about 3 each day. All depends on your level and fitness as to how much extra you want/can do.

The ski road should be open in February

re: bansko lifts

Lessons start about 10. I have to take my daughter to the kindergarten,so can't get any skiing in until 9.30 when the kindergarten opens.

I go up the first chairlift and come down red 4 and then black 9 back to the top of the gondolas, have a hot cholcolate and rum and it's about 10! There is no other way back to that point other than by a very long round trip, unless you agree to meet your group at a certain point further up the mountain.

I would leave it to the insructor to advise ...

I would leave it to the insructor to advise what he/she feels best once thy have seen your skiing. Play it by ear - the better you get the more the instructors are like guides than teachers
