bansko or borovets

hi you lot , not been on here since the winter but now starting to look for the coming winter, went to pamps for new year and reort good but not a lot of snow. anyway can you advise bansko or borovets please. regards to pp and all the rest of you drew.

Hi and welcome back drewbie.

Don't judge Pamps on last year as it was so unusual and the same accross most of Europe. I did Pamps in Dec and Feb last year and the conditions were the worst I have experienced in nearly 20 years.

Bansko for the runs - Borovets for the fun and nightlife.

You choose.

i seem to remember reading a post you had put on about a visit you made to one last winter and you had commented on how it had changed for the worst..

Bansko just didn't do it for me - for many reasons I won't bore you with.

Looking forward to Borovets - I feel it will be much the same as Pamporovo, and if it is - that'll do for me.

Bansko in five years time, when all the building work has finished, ski area expanded and new lists installed.

This year will be completely overcrowded again, unless you go from mid march, which we will be much better.

I quite fancy going to Borovets again and have left a post at Skidvd about apartment swapping for a week. If anyones up for it We have an apartment in The Castle in Pamporovo.

Hi Drewbie good to have you back again. I tried Bansko for the first time in March after 6 times to Pamps. Loved it far better ski area than Pamps and I really liked the town so many bars and good places to eat.

Hi all - not been here for a while, but as the autumn has set in, we have just booked our 2008 trip to BG. Always done Pamps over the last few years but going to Bankso this time. Think we just felt that we'd done Pamps ski area, and fancied a change. So Hotel Perun on March 8th here we come - only 180 sleeps to go

Borovets for the nightlife, there is so much choice (as Bulgaria goes!), hope the snow is better this next year, but that was all over Europe, and at least we Skied Borovets in March, in hellish Sun and had a great time this year in March!
