re: bansko ski hire

you could try Intersport opposite the gondola, but your best bet is to get it before you go from the travel company

Hi, Booked with the intersport shop this year and the equipment was very good. Don't know what time you will be arriving but they were open until 9:00 on Saturday night. We were able to sort the hire out Saturday which "only" left the scrum for the lift passeson Sunday- that took just over 30 mins.Mal

Hi, Intersport charged 55 euros each for 6 days ski, boots, and stick hire-you can pay with lev as well but they don't take cards. If you want a 6 day lift pass you have to go and queue Sunday morning at the Gondola as they take your picture and print it on the pass-that means everybody in the party has to go and queue. The cost of this was 280lev, but you can pay by credit card which 2 weeks ago was cnverted at a rate of 2.86. If you have a nationwide card use that cos they don't chg the 2 ...

As I said on Sunday we "only" queued for about 35 mins and we got there just before 9:00, which we were later told was a lot less than some people. Hope this helps. Mal

re: bansko ski hire

If you can use balkan to book with then do that, if not go to Intersport and ask for Peter Yonchev, he is my friends nephew - mention that you know me - you never know may get a little discount, tell him I am the girl who went over at christmas with his uncle and wife.
