The resort itself is just over 900m so snow in the resort can be rare, but from the top station of the gondola snow is guaranteed until end of April.
Last winter we had an average of around 75-90cm all season.
The snow road to the resort can be a bit patchy at times
I work in Bansko, like any resort the runs can get icy depending on the most recent snow conditions. They are very good at pisting and preparing in the runs throughout both day and night so as to keep what snow they have. The ski area is high enough to have snow cover from early December through to beginning of May. Bansko has a large area of the runs with snow cannons.
There is powder conditions to keep you happy, check with the instructors to find the best conditions whilst you are there.
don't know where you where last year but the skiing was over by 18th of april and pretty sh1t from the 4th, keep it honest mate! we had a 10ish days of fantastic powder face shots the works but if it is icy the black run is deadly ,literally, as the fall line is straight into the trees, you fall you die!! sort it out Ulen put some fencing up .....
