what can I say, best sking holiday yet....

stayed in the Perun, which is very nice, nothing to complain about, not sure if I prefer the Lion over the Perun, but mainly due to the better atmosphere in the bar area, facilities in the Perun far outway the Lion...

first morning requested George Cristov (nick name - geordie mama - which means mummy's boy) to be our instructor, he is a fantastic skier and such a nice guy, especially with his infectious laugh, luckily we got him.

the group were great, first time ever all group were still there at the end of the holiday no one dropped out (12 in group). Sking was good, not amazing but not poor, it snowed one afternoon only but we still managed to still get a great weeks sking....
only skied to bottom one day, it was too slushy and icy really so caught gondola after that - only queue on gondola was first day, reckon we queued about half hour, after that got up early and was up at middle station most mornings at 9am for coffee and a quick ski before lessons.

Chocolate and Banana pancakes every day at the end of the sking... Very Happy

nightlife: went in Amigos a few nights, amnesia once and the happy end a few times, plus a very unusual bar called the Jacuzzi bar, and guess what yes there was a jacuzzi in it, was told I could don the bikini but thought better of it, it was a great chill out bar, down in the bottom of the friends hotel, very hot (obviously) but so cool and relaxing....
went to a nice Mehena a few nights called chewbacanov han - taxi drive away (8 lev from Perun) but lovely astomosphere (just don't order anything not on the menu, and def. find out the price of the wine unless you want to be stung for a bottle costing 90 lev).

met some amazing people, loads of new friends, just wish it would snow again so I can go back before end of March...

Sad

Oh!!! forgot we played the smile game, every time we got on the lifts, etc... we had to make the guys running them smile, and it never failed, all you have to do is say hello and thankyou and ciao ciao as you take off, you get a smile every time Very Happy

Hi Jenna

got no voice today, always a good sign of a great holiday....

pity you did not find the busy bars, we had a ball at night, and unbelievably still managed to stagger up to the middle station for 9am...
