I see a few of you guys are travelling to bansko this week. Can you let us know the better ski schools and equip hire if poss. Any other tips on where to eat and what to see would be appreciated.

Ive been sking in Bansko for the last 3 years. I have found Bansko Sports on the right as you head up to the gondola. The equipment is very good instruction excellent. Prices are also very good even for small groups. We have got instruction for a group of 4 people with equipment for 6 days for €120 each with a glass of hot mulled wine waiting for us at the end of a hard day

did you book before you went? i'd hate to get there and find they've no skiis left

I have only ever sorted out the gear when we got out there. I dont think they have any facility for prebooking. I have never had any issue to date with having no equipment left. I ve been out there at various times before End Jan, End Feb, End March. Equipment always availible. There are a multitude of companies hiring out skis etc + lessons. The quality may vary but I honestly think you wont have a problem getting sorted out with something when you get out there.
