hi there whats the skiing like in bansko can you ski all the runs ? are all the lifts working?

Am i right in saying that despite what the website says, plato 1, plato 2, banderiza, balkaniada, and tomba are all unaccessible at the moment due to the lifts not working? Ask a silly question but how come the large chair lift on the east is open but the others are all closed?

p.s. hope for me yet as i'm not going till the first week of february...

Yes, winds are too high and I guess the snow is patchy. The chair lift from Shili to Platoto runs through a valley so is much more protected from wind

You can ski tomba from this lift unless the area is fenced off.

Last year was on the shili-plato lift, blowing a gale thought it was giong to invert at the top before the lift station!!

Yes a slight slip! You could walk it though!

Yes I saw a few people walking across from plato towards todorka last week when the drags were off, you could see them on the web cam, must be a bit of a trek though!!

Hi the lifts were closed due to genuine high winds - on the 7th most were open!
