Just got back from a week in bansko stopping at the bansko hotel
Skiing was great - bit icy in places but overall an excellent time.
Hotel was very good but food was poor,never hot despite repeated requests to staff to warm before serving.
Balken holiday rep was not very helpful she showed no interest at all -
Food in town was not very good either apart from resturant ajoining night club,they sold pizza,s etc,always busy which was a good sign. We actually saw a rat running under the feezer in one place.
Balkens aircraft are pathetic no videos or entertainment for the whole 3 hour journey,food is a bit naff,
Overall a good weeks skiing. New lift systems etc are excellent,no queues.
By end of week got a bit bored with the same runs but the runs are very good,but a bit mis-leading for levels.
I feel the blue runs were a bit tricky in places for intermediates and the black run was no more difficult than some of the reds,this was agreed by many people i talked to through the week so please be careful if you are just learning to ski.
