We are going to bankso on the 26th Dec - staying at Hotel Perun. Its our first time skiing - anyone have any thoughts on Bansko????I am praying for decent snow!!! Anyone else going out on the 26th and staying at Perun - would love to meet up???

According to the ski club of great britain, there are 10cms of snow on lower slopes, and 30cm on the upper slopes.... should be ok for a while, let's just hope for a bit more!!
Not going until February, but am keeping a good eye out.
Bansko is apparently quite taxing for complete beginners, because the runs directly from the tops of the lifts are not the easiest, but having said that, the ski school is apparently fantastic, so you should be carving along those red runs in no time!! ...
