In the restaurant I work in Berlin, a beer is 3,20€ for 0,4l but in the oldest part of Berlin, so right in the city centre. Outside you would pay between 2,50 to 3,00€ per pint in bars or less in smaller "Kneipen".
Thats why I stay in Samokov in winter. The mountains around Borovez are great for skiing and hiking, but why should I leave my money there, if I can take the bus down to the townb and get better cuisine, better wine and cheaper restaurants plus hotels.
And the money stay by the people which life where all over the year.

I go where I want. Because i can go where. And Bulgaria is a country you can find thousand things if you want and be able to, or break down for a while if you are from Bg.
Met a friend soemdays ago and told me about the stupidity but this is in this way all over the world.
See you next time in the land of milk and honey, if it is stoped at Shipka pass...
I stay at my apartment in Borovets and ski with the family, but most evenings take the bus down to Samokov where the restaurants are of a much better quality and everything is about half the price of Borovets. Kokushkova Kushta and the Sonata are our favourites. Bonitas for lunch is great to.
