can anyone tell me where beginners lessons take place. Piste map shows ski school at base of gondola but is this where beginners are taught?Girlfriend going for first time and trying to work out if we can meet up at lunch times.

I was a first-timer last year. The ski-school offices are at the bottom Gondola station but the lessons actually take place near to the top Gondola station. It will probably be easier for you to meet your Girlfriend at the cafe area there - many people use this as a lunch-time meeting place.
You'll probably find her easier than she'll find you.... the ski-schoolers leave their skis with those of everyone else in their group and each group has their favourite dumping ground.
