re: best or worst instructor

Had a bloke called Tony in Bansko this year who was very average. He was more interested in getting free drinks out of the group and tagging onto whoever would buy him freebies in the evening.
Also at the begining of the week he took or end of week free drink tickets off as us (said that he would look after them). He certainly did, we never saw them again.
Call me a cynic but I'm always sceptical about instructors some of them only seem to be interested in what sort of tip they will get at ...

Velko in Pamps he is such a funny guy, great with the kids, .. anyone going out with kids try to get him he is strict and very professional in lessons but has so much fun when you stop for breaks with the kids they love him... cannot say enough nice things about him.
George in Bansko, nickname Geogie mama because he is a mummies boy, he is apparently one of the best skiers in Bansko apparently, on the few occasions he does laugh you won't believe his booming laugh... a nice guy takes his ...

Joy in Pamps was great when I was an absolute beginner.

Dundee was an excellent teacher of carving. A real good laugh as well.

Did anyone see them last season ?

re: best or worst instructor

I've been going to Pamporovo now for 10 years. The instructors are first class! We have had numerous instructors but I can say that Spas is second to none. He is a super instructor, great English, very safety conscious and knows the runs and the conditions like the back of his hand. I've skied ANDORRA (Arinsal&Pal) - Instruction rubbish, USA (Killington & Canon Mountain-New Hampshire)-Instruction Average to poor and Italy (Livingo)-Instruction good but not great English.

All the Bulgarian instructors are happy people, helpful people and professional at what they do.
I had doubts about going to Bulgaria at the start after other European resorts and USA resorts but I have to say Pamporovo for me is No. 1!! Roll on a good season. Blagodarya Blagodarya!! Vinaghee si fmislite mee!!

re: best or worst instructor

The legend of instructors is, Krassi Vangelov in Boro, had him 5 times now, takes us where no others go and now he is the ski school manager and is able to get preferntial treatment, no queing, off piste, quick service in restaurants, and will stay all day from 9 - 5.
A funny very intelligent guy. Booked him again for Jan 08
