best place to go?

We went to Pamps last February and loved it. We are beginner snowboarders and are thinking of going back to Bulgaria again but wondered if anyone has any advice on wether to go back to Pamps or try Borovets instead, are there any major differences that would make a difference to beginners? We don't need more lessons just nice gentle slopes to practice on & we don't have children with us to worry about.

I have snowboarded both. Borovets is great too for beginers. I learnt to snowboard there 10 years ago. Love Pamps though and will be heading back there this feb

i would go to bansko. They have good chair lift system. Lots better for you boarders than the fast drag lifts at the top area of borovets.

The only problem you might have is the ski road is pretty flat for newer boarders so you might need to get the gondola back down to the town.

I agree with Sam R, Bansko is technically better, but if you want to drink your self silly, then Borovetts is the place for you

Sounds like some people have vested interests in Bansko only? and that Borovets is only good for getting drunk?

.......ok....lets all get drunk, don't worry about skiing or snowboarding......we'll leave that to the experts

go to borovets only 45 minutes transfer from sofia and loads of grest runs

Agreed!! We're going back to Pamps for a second year in Feb - Can't wait. Might even go and have a look at Chepelare this time just for a change.
