i was just wondering where the best place to go is to learn how to snowboard in the Uk, i live in lincolnshire but travelling wounldnt be too much of a problem.shakes

Cairngorm is the best place (in my humble opinion!)Especially this week as there's going to be a HUGE snow dump. Ther've got a great beginner slope/bowl (the Ptarmigan)

Where are you going in Bulgaria? We went to Borovets on the 3rd Jan. Lots of snow but far too many skiers (sorry guys)

Only problem is that last time I went to Cairngorm (last weekend) I smashed my board up quite badly on rocks attempting to board off piste (lots of snow on the pisted areas - not so much off piste but better powder). Not a good idea really.It's at the doctors right now being operated on by a professional who tells me that he'll be very gentle and that he thinks he can save it

If you are thinking about lessons whilst out there - GET THEM BOOKED - including lift passes. You can't do that too near your departure and they cost twice as much out there. You don't have to stick with your instructor all week and you are free to go off and do as you wish. If you book lessons over there, then they are only about £15.00 for a couple of hours.

Xscape have 2 (www.xscape.co.uk), one in Milton Keynes and a new one in Castleford. I am thinking of going there tomorrow for a ski before I go on Saturday.

Hi ShakesHave you tried Wentworth sport @Tallington near Stamford, they seem to have some good instructors, I learned to ski there, not a huge slope but enough for you if you are learning to board.
