Borovets of course although other will probably disagreere: best resort
Pamporovo gets my vote. Its smaller than Borovets,and in my view better. We went to Pamps in 03 and Boro in 04.re: best resort
There really is no 'best resort' as far as I'm concerned Paul.
Each resort has it's own unique atmosphere and it's very much down to personal choice.
Bansko has had a major facelift and probably has the best lift systems and facilities as well as some great slopes.
Pamporovo and Borovets possibly share a more lively atmosphere and retain their tourists year after year.
I purely plump for Pamps because I have so many friends who live there and also visit there the same time as me. ...

i agree with pete had igone to borovets 7 not pamporovo iwould probably have made friends there as well it just happens 5 years ago i was persuaded to venture to pamporovo 7have never looked back maybe i'll try borovets some time.

Im sure Borovets and Pamporovo were fine back in the 60s and 70s but there time is now over. Bansko is the best of Bulgaria it has modern hotels and ski facilities. Bansko is streets ahead of the other two

Been to both Pamps and Borovets - both have their own plus points.I've chosen to return to Borovets rather than Pamps though because I like the fact that you can ski right on back to your hotel and not worry about the ski bus or gondola etc.

Have to agree with the others. I have only been to Pamps but I do intend to go to Bansko one day. As long as you go with an open mind and you are willing to embrace a different way of life and accept that the Bulgarian people are different to us you will have a blast
